In this talk, I shall introduce some results on the exceptional sets of Waring-Goldbach problem for unlike powers. In particular, I will talk about the number of natural numbers satisfying certain necessary congruence conditions that do not have a representation as the sum of two squares of primes and a kth power of a prime and some related questions.
