Automorphic Forms and Trace Formula [Fall, 2007]
DATE:2007-10-11
Graduate Seminars on Automorphic Forms and Trace Formulas

Topic: Automorphic Forms and Trace Formulas
Speakers: Chen Xianghua, Huo Chuanfa, Ji Guanghua, Li Taiyu, Liu Liang, Liu Zhixin, Yang Xingang
Venue: Room 202
Time: 18:30--21:30, Sunday, Fall, 2007
Abstract: We are going to introduce basic notions and objects for the theory of automorphic forms and trace formulas. In particular, the seminar will cover holomorphic modular forms, Maass wave forms, Hecke operator, automorphic L-functions, spectral decompositition, Selberg trace formula, sums of Kloosterman sums and Kuznetsov's trace formula. For the most part, we will follow Iwaniec and Kowalski's book: Analytic number theory, chapter 14, 15,16 and Yangbo Ye's book: Modular forms and trace formula, chapter 1, 2, 3. All are welcome!
